IIT is facing faculty crunch

Facing a massive shortage of well-qualified teachers, the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology(IIT) have mooted a proposal for hiring foreign nationals as permanent faculty members.
India have good number of doctors , engineer and scientists is facing a shortage of teachers in IIT. We have large number of doctors, scientists and engineers serving in foreign countries. They study here and go to abroad  in search of job. So naturally India will face shortage of good faculty and had to appoint foreign teachers on permanent positions, up to 10 per cent of the faculty strength.
IITs have contended that the presence of foreign faculty on their campuses would expose graduating students to globally distinguished professors besides lending a true international flavour in the campuses and reducing brain drain. Though we will have international flavour but in India student will not be able to understand their international teaching because it will take time for us to adjust with that teaching. It is good to have foreign faculty but why India is short of faculty in IIT.
